To validate the transferability of developed methods to coronary heart disease
We will validate the identified predictive abilities of the components of the EIS in terms of successful translation in another disease conditions within WP7. For this purpose, we will assess the transferability and policy value of the methodology developed in the area of stroke when applied to a wider set of vascular disease conditions, using coronary heart disease as an example.
We will carry out two streams of work:
- A survey of current mechanisms for translation of evidence into quality of care for coronary disease, including chronic stable angina, myocardial infarction and other acute coronary syndromes in different European countries.
- Building on existing collaborations with national audits, patient registers, and voluntary surveys we will determine at the level of the individual patient the predictive properties of the EIS in terms of defined performance measures in myocardial infarction and angina.
